About The Museum School of East Dallas

K-8th grade school delivering the Museum School Model in Far East Dallas

Our Mission

Ignite joy for learning in all K-8 grade students through an extended day museum school approach that ensures students are prepared to thrive in high school, college, career and military.

Our Vision

Our vision is to redefine education through exciting, immersive experiences that promote exploration and discovery, provide opportunities for reflection and lead to curated end-of-unit exhibitions.

These experiences are supported by community partnerships with local cultural institutions that enhance the curriculum and give students opportunities to embody necessary transferable, durable skills for success that lead them to realize their potential and become the best version of themselves. We are not just filling brains with knowledge but providing opportunities to become what they are learning, setting a high bar of expectations. Our model has been intentionally designed to ensure that we are not only serving neuro-typical students but also those who learn differently. In our rapidly changing world, we believe in equipping educators with all necessary tools needed to curate a personalized space for the specific students in their classroom each year where they feel safe, successful and known regardless of their background and how they learn. As an increasing number of students learn differently, we must be equipped to adapt to educating differently. Our goal is for students to T.H.R.I.V.E. daily by embodying the below principles and creed:

  • Tenacity: Keep going, even when it’s hard.

  • Honor: Respecting others and treating them like they matter.

  • Responsibility: Take care of what needs to be done.

  • Integrity: Being honest, doing what’s right, and making sure your actions match your words.

  • Valor: Be brave, even when you feel scared.

  • Encouragement: Supporting someone to try their best.

Our Creed

I am a learner, an explorer, and a leader.
I embody tenacity, honor, responsibility, integrity, valor, and empathy.

I look for the good in myself, in others, and in my community.
I am confident and proud of who I am and excited about who I am becoming.

In all things, I have a sense of possibility and a heart of gratitude.
I welcome challenges because they help me become the best version of myself.

It’s not always easy, but the hard work is worth it.
I welcome mistakes as opportunities to learn and grow.

I pay attention to my thinking and I can change my mind.
I forgive myself and others, showing compassion and kindness to all living things.

I listen to others, because people want their stories to be heard.

I want to share mine, and I want to hear theirs.

I am brave, smart, strong, capable, important, enough.

I matter. I am the future.

Did you hear me? I am the future.
In the flesh. Standing right here in front of you.

I will be your doctor, teacher, leader, the one who will change the world, one idea, one action, one dream at a time.

I am The Museum School.
And together, we will build a brighter future.
